Arts Administration
Alongside her passion for being a performing artist, Jacklynn has developed a diverse background in arts administration, and artist support through positions at Montclair State University and within professional performing arts organizations.
From 2022–2023, she served as a Teaching Assistant of Choral Activities at Montclair State University as part of an apprenticeship toward becoming a Graduate Assistant the following year. This role provided her with foundational experience in arts administration, including managing rehearsal coordination, event planning, roster creation, music library management, transportation on-site travel planning, and email and professional communication. From 2023–2024, Jacklynn served as a Graduate Assistant, building upon this foundation and taking on greater responsibility in supporting the operations and programming of the School of Music’s Choral Program.
This experience led to continued work with the School of Music during her Artist Diploma studies, where she served as a Student Event Worker from 2024–2026. In this position, she was responsible for artist hospitality and food coordination, including facilitating catering events, ensuring immersive artists were fed and cared for throughout their residencies at the school by managing on-site hospitality needs.
From late May through mid-July, Jacklynn served as Company Coordinator for Teatro Nuovo’s Resident Artist Program, coordinating housing, facility requests, transportation to New York venues, maintaining and selling merchandise at the performances, weekly company company lunches, and the day-to-day logistical needs of the program.
She currently works part-time at Montclair State University as the Immersive Artist Residency Assistant, continuing to support immersive artists and artistic planning. Through these experiences, Jacklynn has developed a well-rounded understanding of the logistical, organizational, and interpersonal work required to support successful artistic programs, with particular experience in rehearsal and event coordination, transportation, hospitality, communication, artist care, and on-site production support.
