About Jacklynn

Soprano Jacklynn Wick is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma Certificate at Montclair State University, studying under the esteemed guidance of Beth Roberts. Her Montclair State operatic roles have encompassed a wide range of characters, beginning with her role debut in December 2022 as “Madame Kirsten” in Dan Shore’s chamber opera The BeautifulBridegroom (Karen Driscoll, director). This was followed by “Madame Lidoine” in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites (Malena Dayen, director), and most recently “Guinone” in Francesco Cavalli’s La Calisto (Rebecca Jo Loeb, director). Most recently she performed as Mrs. Gobineau in The Medium by Menotti, under the direction of Karen Driscoll.

Alongside her opera work, Jacklynn served as the Choral Activities Teaching Assistant and Graduate Assistant (2022 – 2024), where she played an integral role in event production as well as performing in the curricular choirs: Chorale, University Singers, and Vocal Accord. Professional level collaborations with the New Jersey Symphony during this time included Handel’s Messiah twice (Xian Zhang and Nicholas McGegan, conductors), Fauré’s Requiem, and Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana as well as Cali Immersive Residency artists Eric Whitacre and VOCES8.

Jacklynn’s commitment to her artistry was recognized in 2024 when she won the Cali School of Music Vocal Competition, earning the opportunity to perform “Beim Schlafengehen” from Richard Strauss’ Vier Letzte Lieder with the Cali Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Kyle Ritenauer. In 2025, she appeared again with the Cali Symphony as the soprano soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.
